The latest iteration of Google’s all important search algorithm, Hummingbird, has changed the landscape of SEO quite dramatically. SEO used to be all about how many popular keywords you can shove into both your page content and the metadata, but nowadays Google places far less relevance on keywords than it does on high quality content.
It’s one thing to have your website optimised for laptops and PCs, but these days you also need to reach your customers on all the platforms they use, from tablets to mobile phones. Every device has a vastly different screen resolution which requires radically different designs to fit properly, and for that reason it’s never any fun navigating a website that hasn’t been optimised. But don’t stress, responsive websites adapt automatically.
